sound coming through headphones but not in speakers in Acer aspire E1-572G

when i am connecting my headphone to jack then in headphone sound coming. but when i am unplugging headphone from jack then there is no sound. at the time when i m clicking on sound icon i can see the green flow going up and down but can't hear any sound. is this a software problem or any hardware problem? help me please...!

There is a spring-steel contact inside the headphones jack which is supposed to toggle the speakers off/on when you insert or remove headphones. That contact may be stuck in the 'open' position instead of closing when it should.

I have tried many ways to fix my head phones but still fail its the same problem as listed above.
i have installed new drivers and tried multiple headphones.

Any ideas?
