Have windows 8.1 enterprise, and my audio just randomly cuts out while doing things like listening to music on foobar, watching movies on VLC, or playing games on steam. However if i click the volume icon i can still hear the ping for sound, and the audio still works while in my internet browser. Not sure what to try.

:hello:

Kindly I ask your attention.

x32 or x64 version?

Which Sound hardware, onboard or not (when onboard, which mainboard or notebook/laptop)?

Sound driver installed?

Did you try Sound Trouble Shooting of Windows 8?

When nothing helps, just deinstall all the programs (regarding to the issue and don't forget to restart after deinstallation) and install them agein (restart after installation)

Don't use more than one Codec Pack.

Hopefully I let you known enough, that you will find the answers you seek! :)

Good luck & have fun doing it! :)

Best Regards,
