Soundbar installation issues

I can't install my BOHM soundbar to my Element tv model # ELST5016S

There are two ways to do this. You can go from the optical out on the TV to the optical in on the soundbar.

OR

you can go from the headphone out on the TV to the AUX1 or AUX 2 jack on the soundbar.
