Hi,
I am pretty good when it comes to hooking up electronics but I have witnessed a first.
My dad just bought a 60" Samsung LED from Sam's Club (UN60EH6002F) and a Vizio soundbar with wireless sub (SB4021MB1)

My problem is the soundbar only has 3 'inputs" - optical in, coaxial in, and analog in.
The TV only has HDMI "inputs" and audio "inputs".
THERE ARE NO OUTPUTS! How can I hook an "input" to an "input"? I got it to work by hooking it through the DVD player b/c it has multiple outputs but I can't get Dish network to play through DVD player. How can I get this to work with just TV and Soundbar?

I can't believe in this day and age with our technology that this new LED tv has NO outputs.

the tv does have an optical output according to the website, it may just look hidden because of the coloring of the cover.

according to a picture i saw its on the side of the tv bellow the two usb ports

Hi
According to the specifications for that tv on samsungs website it has an optical audio output.
Since your sound bar has an optical in then problem solved.

I don't have any optical outputs or even HDMI on the side of the tv. (unless they are covered)
There are no connections on either side.
They only tv I found on Samsung website is a 6003F, mine is a 6002F

It looks like this is the same TV as yours:

One of the pictures clearly shows audio optical out:

I am at work so I will check back at lunch...thanks for any help you guys can give me.
As you can see on pic I posted that I do not have a digital optical output.

you might need to get an optical toslink switcher and plug each of your devices through the switcher into the soundbar, it does seem very strange that it did not come with an optical output.

You can't do that. Even if you use the switch/hub/whatever it won't work.
If both devices have (digital) inputs they are set to RECEIVE not generate signal. If you have listeners on both ends of wire, where will the the signal come from? Outer space?

what devices do you mean since most set top boxes, players and games consoles tend to have outputs, only av receivers and soundbars etc tend to have inputs.

All I want to do is hook my soundbar to my tv...but both of these have "input" only.

1. soundbar has 3 'inputs" - optical in, coaxial in, and analog in.
2. see picture above of my tv on photobucket....all inputs
