Hello everyone I'm thinking of buying a new sound system for my pc and I will be propably getting the Edifier s530d.
What I want to know is do I have to buy an extra soundcard to see it's maximum power/potential or my onboard soundcard should be enough?I am using MSI Z87-G45 MSI says it has something like audio boost on it.

Anyways in case of a sound card I don't want to spend more than 60 euros so what should I do?

Thanks everyone 😀

What you want to look for isn't an internal sound card but a DAC/amp, basically an external sound card but significantly better than internal ones most of the time.

Choose the one that fits your budget. You should see an improvement in audio.

To be fair though the audio on the motherboard probably isn't bad either too. You can try it first and see if you find the audio from the motherboard good enough.
