Speaker issue With my laptop

My Acer laptop is 4 years old and yesterday it started to make weird sound while watching movie. The sound is perfect when there are vocals but when the music comes it is unbearable sound. This happened a year ago and I replaced the speakers but now it's again making noise. Please help me with this.

It could be your audio settings. Try adjusting them first.

Still crackling sound comes from right speaker. Tried to change the settings but nothing happened.

If you plug in headphones does it still persist?

This helps if you are trying to isolate the amp from the speakers this way.

No everything is OK when headphones are plugged in.

Then it could well be the speaker or the amp driving it.

Is it both speakers?

No only right one. Left is all good.

Damn ... surgery is indicated here.

what surgery?? I don't get it. Please explain in simple terms.

The speaker is damaged I think ... requires surgery ... repair.
