Speaker or soundcard issue?

Hello,

I listen to music on my PC a lot. I have a pair of headphones I plug into the front audio jack and I always have my 2.1 stereo speakers plugged into the audio jack in the back.

Lately, I have noticed that the left speaker on my 2.1 stereo PC speakers is lower than my right at certain times. I can completely fix the issue if I unplug the green audio jack from the back and replug it back in. Good as new. Unfortunately, this has been happening a little bit more often than I like, but not quite that often that I can seem to find some sort of trend to this issue.

I thought that it could be a driver issue so I already tried uninstalling the drivers and letting windows re-install.

Any other ideas would be much appreciated. I honestly can't tell if it is the sound card, the speakers, Windows 10.. or what.

Thanks again,

Dominick

More likely to be the audio jack making an imperfect contact with the plug from the speakers. Could also be a bad wire in the speaker plug.
To find out connect the speakers to your front output which works fine with the headphones.
