Hello iv been having a problem with my computer for quite a while now, when i listen to music on youtube the speakers will sometimes make a popping or crackling sound, and it is making me angry beyond words. i even went as far as spending 100$ on new speakers just to have the problem still their, iv tried spraying compressed air into the audio port (did not work) i tried switching audio ports from back to front (did not work) i tried getting a brand new power surge protector (did not work) iv re downloaded the Realtek drivers like 3 times (did not work) honestly i have no idea what to do, iv looked at endless amounts of fourms and tried litterally everything and nothing has worked, this computers is not even a year old, and it has a very good 600 watt corsair PSU. iv tried to lower the Speaker frequency quality (did not work) even putting it on CD quality, the lowest still did not work. and i noticed, the popping or crackling does not happen, until the bass in the music hits, and i highly doubt its the speakers because it was the same thing with my other speakers.

Solution
It sounds like grounding. Check your PCs grounding. (a tester costs less than 6 bucks if you don't have one)

Consider getting a line filter. It might not be dirty electricity, but a line filter/conditioner is good for any PC. Extends its life, reduces some of the odd crashes. Cost is around 80 for the least expensive one I've found which is worth owning. Monster Power also used to make several very nice ones.
