Speaker recommendations

I am looking for a good set of speakers that I can use with my droid (or any portable device.)

I would like it to be somewhat small like those Bose iPod dock speaker systems. Somewhere between this http://tinyurl.com/2b5bamv and http://tinyurl.com/2be6epk in size and sound quality.

I've been looking all over and all I can find are over-priced, low quality bluetooth speakers, or speakers with a dock for an iProduct.

Anyone have any recommendations?

I can't imagine anything that small and "stylish" looking good, the variance in sound quality likely won't be much from one unit to the next.
