speakers for my laptop

hello everyone.. newbie here..

i have a dell precision m6500,, im making a home office and want to have a nice sound system that connects to my computer.. specifically speakers.. to listen to music in my office

does anyone have any suggestions for speakers that are amplified? (my laptop isnt that loud).. i need long cords or cords that are capable of extended.. also, any suggestions on wireless?

And if you need a bit of range pick up a long 3.5mm audio cable male to female and you can extend as far as you need in your office and they can be bought for relatively cheap prices.

There aren't very many 4 or more speaker options to choose from and the ones that there are tend to be A LOT more pricey
