speakers pop when turning amplifier on.

I just bought a brand new amplifier and it works fine accept for when I turn the amplifier on/ off the speaker/ speakers will make a popping noise and push out/ move the speakers. ( I am using a mixer with the amplifier as well)
Does anyone know what the problem/ problems could be and what I could do to figure it out and fix it.

When your amp is turned on or off there is a pulse that is making the woofer pop, If you are turning the mixer on and off at the same time then that could cause it. If it happens with the mixer off then the amp is causing it. Some amps do this normally.
If it only happens with the mixer then you need to power up the mixer first then the amp. Reverse this for turn off.
