Could some one please help me to choose which speakers/soundbar I need help for me to hear my TV better. I am having hearing problems and find it difficult to hear some of the speech on my TV. I have a Panasonic 42tx 400 TV. I am elderly and do not need it for any other reason other than speech enhancer. I have looked at the Canton DM55 but my son has said that this is more than I need and it is a lot of money. Can someone advise me please

I like the Vizio models, have had two and both sounded good for a good price.

SB2920 has bluetooth, optical and standard audio inputs, for about $80.

One thing I found is that when not using a true 5.1 system, the speech can sometimes drop lower in some systems and some sources depending on the audio output used. For example, in the Truman Show, when the announcer talks about Truman being adopted and so forth half-way into the movie, that particular part drops to a low level in my TV. You can get a 5.1 system for a bit more to try to avoid that issue https://www.bestbuy.com/site/vizio-5-1-channel-soundbar-system-with-6-wireless-subwoofer-and-digital-amplifier-black/5948536.p?skuId=5948536&gclid=CjwKCAjwlrnNBRBMEiwApKU4PHZAmVW7I4Hw7OTjmyC31rDVeeBEN8fLDKpQdLPENp1R6QPZHI_JNxoCvgIQAvD_BwE or https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-4-series-500w-5-1-ch-3d-smart-blu-ray-home-theater-system-black/3188027.p?skuId=3188027&gclid=CjwKCAjwlrnNBRBMEiwApKU4PEjvlJIHa3itK1juVGRhS9FoaRpbA97Hy0yS6_bVyJe9b-iENgTDvxoCbkAQAvD_BwE which included a blu-ray player.
