speed limit and spedometer

What is the easiest way to get the current speed limit and my speed to show while using map utility - Google Maps or IPhone Map? Thanks.

Google Maps doesn't have that ability. I haven't tried other GPS apps to know if they do but many dedicated GPS units do have this ability.

Thanks. I do have a Garmin, but I've been enjoying my new IPhone 7+ with vent magnet attachment- bigger and more clear than Garmin. Was hoping I could just get rid of Garmin.

I think Here Maps (previously Nokia) has this:

However, be warned that neither the speed measurement (e.g. tunnels, poor signal, corners) nor their records of speed signs (especially temporary ones) are guaranteed to be accurate; the physical speed signs on the road take precedence.
