I think thats great. With the negative feedback that video game movies have been getting lately,(Or just about the people who make them.) I think it will turn out great.

I know he said no, but Jackson would still be the best. Any large scale battle scene would probably use MASSIVE anyway. Plus, his studio does the best costume work.

[citation][nom]reclinemusic[/nom]Or spielberg could make a movie based on ringworld... you know... concept that halo STOLE![/citation]
Ah, but the Niven ring was itself influenced by Dyson's concepts, who in turn was influenced by Stapledon's Star Maker. Might want to keep that in mind before you run your mouth.

I don't think it'd be too late to do a movie on the fall of reach, because the game just came out and almost nothing at all that happens in the book has anything to do with the story of the game.

Not only that, but there being the halo's themselves is just a convenient thing to use for that - it isn't the point of the story. It wouldn't have made a bit of difference to the overall story if they were borg cubes instead, Cube just isn't as cool a name as Halo.

Smart move to use the books for the movies. Those are a great series and I have gotten my Halo fix off of them since someone wasn't smart enough to make Halo 3 and Reach for the PC.

I'm a little confused by everyone here praising Spielberg. The guy made great movies when he was younger, but did you all forget about Indiana Jones 4? Spielberg needs to retire. Soon.

Why not the original Halo composers, Michael Salvitori and Michael O'Donnell (not sure of the spelling there)

[citation][nom]bamslang[/nom]Only problem is if he did it, it would be 4 hours long.[/citation]
I have no problem with long movies, as long as they're good. Most movies I've seen lately seemed too short; as their length was determined based on how many showings they could get in the theater in a day rather than how much time the story needs to feel complete.
