Split TV USB to power 2 dongles?

I have a Sony TV with 4 HDMI inputs and a USB (A type). The USB is capable of showing photos on a memory stick, and a few other functions. I do not use any of the data functions of the USB.

I have several smart TV dongle appliances, and 1 of them gets power from the USB. It has been working wonderfully well. However, I would like to try another dongle.

Rather than unplugging dongle power cords, I would like to split the USB to connect the TV port to both dongles' power ports. Is that ok to try? I am concerned that something may feed a signal back into the TV and cause it confusion.

Thanks for any insight.

Technically you can split as many as you like as long as the combined current drain doesn't exceed what the TV can provide, which is NOT PUBLISHED, but USB standard says 1/2 amp to 1 amp. Do you want to risk it?
