Steel Series Siberia V2 Frost Blue Mic sound output low

Windown 7 OS.All is fine a week ago, when using my microphone in teamspeak, skype and in games it is loud and fine but suddenly today after a week break the sound quality of my mic became trash. It sounds really quiet and my friends cannot hear me. When in the sound settings even when screaming as loud as I can the green bar to show volume is only one bar. Skype sounds as if I am talking from far away and games think I am barely talking. Please help!

Check your sound options. If you are on Windows 7, click Start, and in the search bar, type in Sound. Press enter. Click the Recording tab, and double click on your microphone. Adjust the options to your liking, and see if that resolves the issue. If this does not solve your problem, uninstall and re install your headset's audio drivers. If that does not work for you, I would advise doing an RMA with the manufacturer.

It sounds like your mic boost might have gotten disabled. Right click on the volume control on the taskbar and go to recording devices, double click on the microphone you're using, and click on the "levels" tab, there you can set your mic boost. Ramp that up and see if it helps.
Other than that, I'd check the connections where its plugged in, and check the cable to see if its frayed anywhere.
If those don't help your mic may have been busted? Or maybe some one else has an idea.
