Steelseries Siberia V2 Mic not being detected

As the title says, my computer (Lenovo Z50-70 with Windows 8.1 64 bit) does not register the jackstcik from my mic. It can register the headset itself with no problem, and the headset is great. I have tried every possible solution i could find, but none worked. The microphone simply doesn't show up in my recording devices tab, now matter what i do. Please help.
