Stereo mix...?

ok... I've searched everywhere. I did properties and everything, but I can't find stereo mix D: this is really abnoxious... I didn't know where to post it so.... this looked best I have windows 7

double click the speaker icon in the lower right hand of the screen
if you don't see the speaker icon, click the little arrow and set the speaker icon so it shows.
the mixer should be visible after you double click the icon.
