Hey guys,

I have been searching for an answer but haven't come across one for this problem.
I got a mobile nVidia 840m gpu on my laptop, and it recently started having problems, like below:

I was playing cs:go and i was ingame while this happened, so i dont think its driver related (i did restore old drivers just to be sure); also i checked the gpu temperature and it didn't overheat.

I can't seem to find any solution, has anyone experienced anything similar?
Any advice is welcomed

Hi,

Yes, it seems like a hardware problem already but please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Connect an external monitor and observe if the same problem will happen.
- If it's normal on the external display that could mean that the problem is the built in display.

Next to try:
- First, go to Device Manager and uninstall the Nvidia graphics driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to Nvidia.
- Once uninstalled, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed and set Nvidia again as the default GPU.
