Stuck at 0.77

Hi I used throttlestop on my Lenovo Ideapad Z570 laptop. I have problems with the processing speed stuck at 0.77Ghz. When I used throttlestop, the processing pwer returned to its normal speed. Is it safe?

That's going to be a matter of opinion. Can you tell us what temperatures you are seeing? CPU makers make them throttle for a reason,usually to prevent damage from overheating. One other possibility is that you are not running a heavy load on your PC. When a PC is idle, it makes sense for the processor to throttle down to save power, especially on a laptop. Why try to do nothing faster?

It depends on if you need the power. Most laptop will run at a base rate which is sufficient enough for the laptop to carry on background processes.

If you don't need the power but are worried that the laptop will get damaged, then check the temps when it is running without throttlestop.

Another thing you could do is run the laptop on power saver as that will keep the clock rates low when you are not doing anything.
