Sub won't work

I have an old rca radio and for some reason the subwoofer wires plugs won't send power to the cord to make the woofer work. I can tie the tweeter wire and the sub wire and use the tweeter terminal but it has no bass.

Model number of radio?
If it has a tweeter and woofer and you get sound when you connect the woofer to the tweeter terminals then I would guess that the woofer crossover is bad. A bad capacitor can do that.
