My subwoofer went out randomly. I drove to school, it worked. I was leaving school and it was no longer working.
Here's a list of what i've worked through:
AMP:
- Checked wiring and tested the actual wires, everything is good.
- AMP is receiving power.
- The OUT cables to the subwoofer are receiving a current (using voltmeter)
- Checked fuses, both okay.
- checked remote cable, seems to be okay
SUB:
- Tested subwoofer in my brothers jeep, it worked fine.
- Tested the wiring in brothers jeep, it worked fine.
I'm not sure what could be causing this? Keep in mind, this subwoofer has worked for years without incidence. I felt like it could have been a ground or something but the amp is receiving power.
