@iceblitzed , i have updated my criteria.will you please check?

Hey,

A friend of mine just bought this on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-V3-572G-587W-15-6-Inch-Platinum/dp/B00K81O3PY/ref=pd_sim_sbs_pc_8?ie=UTF8&refRID=0GC4FXH4R48HNCSRVEHH).

It has an i5-4200U (Decent CPU, trades battery life for performance), 720P screen, Up-to-7 hours of battery life (Advertised), 15.6" screen, and a 840M, which could do some light gaming. It's probably the best budget in it's class.

Also, there are some great deals on SlickDeals right now like the HP Envy for $749, but the performance on that laptop is nearly triple the Acer's (http://slickdeals.net/f/7125018-hp-envy-15t-laptop-i7-4712hq-cpu-4gb-geforce-gtx-850m-gpu-1080p-display-725-ac-at-hp?page=5#comments)

Let me know if you have any questions! :)

the hp laptop you mentioned 2nd seems like a great laptop and I like the configuaration very much and its only 725 $.But from the review i read, its viewing angle is very bad.I am really interested in this laptop.do you recommend this?btw, can i get a 880m gpu in this price range? :p

and please suggest a few more good deals of the similar configuaration

an 880m alone is worth 700$

Yeah, the 880M is only in laptops closer to $2,000. An 850M for $725 is a steal and pretty unheard of, but the issue is definitely the viewing angle. Personally, I wouldn't care too much about the viewing angle if you want the best bang for you buck. You will not find a deal closer to this! (Except for maybe the Lenovo 410P)

I have decided to buy the hp envy 15t.but I am facing a problem while trying to buy.when i try to apply the coupon, it says, "Please review the coupon offer for purchase requirements"
can you please tell me how to apply the coupon?

Thank you

Hmm.... I found this laptop from Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314535). It's definitely not as good of a deal as the HP, but it can handle light gaming.

It advertises a battery life of up to 7 hours and 720p resolution. The GPU is pretty decent and the best you can get for your price range, but the processor may bottleneck it's performance. Either way, this is one of the best purchases you can get for $600.

how about this one? http://slickdeals.net/f/7130512-dell-inspiron-7000-laptop-refurb-i7-4500u-8gb-ddr3-15-6-1080p-touch-led-450-free-shipping

if i dont want gaming, what do you think?its only 450 $ with really good config. I have no idea about refurbished laptops.are they as good as new?

depends on how lucky you are and what the company means by refurbished as there are no universal parameters. It could be either a laptop that was sold by dell and had a faulty component, was brought 2 days after for warranty and the customer got a new one and this one got refurbished (they fixed the faulty component) [this is the lucky case] OR a laptop that was used for a long time and a component broke, they just replaced the component with one that's working (wether it's replaced by a new or old) and the laptop is now running and selling as refurbished [not so lucky case].

edit: And yes, it looks like a good deal. i7, 8GB RAM, 1TB, 1080p LED 15,6'', touchscreen, backlit keyboard and an aluminum body. The only bad thing about this one is the Intel HD 4400 Graphics but that's what you get at that price. I saw somewhere in this forum someone suggesting Lenovo for refurbished notebooks/Ultrabooks and they seem to have an AMD as GPU (although the intel seems to be stronger or equal)
