Suggestions for a Gaming Laptop

Hi,
I am planning on buying a new laptop(Can't have a desktop) this month and I am considering an Alienware 14(with gtx765M GPU).

Are there better laptops at this price range?
Is the GPU soldered into the motherboard? (Can it be upgraded/changed?)
Does it support SLI/CF?
How's gaming on windows 8? (Can I get it with 7 or no OS at all?)
Also I intend to dualboot it with a Linux distro, are there any known issues?

What price range are you looking at?

Most of the time the gpu can not be replaced unless you get into the higher end laptops or custom made ones, this goes with sli configured laptops. also take a look at msi gaming laptops, picked up a GT60 2OD-026US a few months back and have had no issues at all running any game and it stays cool while doing it.
