Hi i was just wondering does anyone know of any cheap laptops that will play sims 4? I dont have a big budget and my daughter wants a laptop for her birthday but it has to be able to play sims 4. Thank you
It appears that it is playable on the HD 3000 iGPU if your gaming at 1280x768 on low but I can't determine if this video is valid. https/www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hmjN2Zb7zg
$550 = Acer Aspire 5 with quad core i5-8250u, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, 1080p screen and nViidia mx150 dedicated graphics. Capable of playing Sims 4 at 1080p with max graphics settings without any issues. The SSD makes the laptop very responsive because of faster read / write speeds compared to a hard drive.
$437 = Acer Aspire 3 with dual core i5-7200u, 6GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive, 1080p screen and integrated Intel HD 620 graphics. This should be good enough to play the Sims 4 at 1080p with medium settings and good performance.

I have an old laptop that I keep around with an i5-2410m with the Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics core, it also has a dedicated nVidia GT 550m GPU. Based on the performance of the Intel HD 3000 I would not bother attempting to play games with it.
If you do not mind buying a used laptop then you get a laptop with a 5th generation Core i3-5005u (2.0GHz) with the Intel HD 5500 integrated graphics and 8GB of RAM. The Intel HD 5500 will perform a lot better than the older Intel HD 3000 found in 2nd gen Intel CPUs.
