I'm trying to help my nephew get a laptop to stream Xbox play on a budget of 300-450 if possible. No big need to have games run on this laptop as it will be more for streaming and internet type use. I've been sorting through black Friday deals but I could use some help if anyone has recently bought or seen something like this I would appreciate your feedback.

1. What is your budget?

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
13” to 15”

3. What screen resolution do you want?
nothing to fancy.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

5. How much battery life do you need?
6-8hours? I dont mind as i only use it indoors with charging ports

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

i-Leisure (web browsing, social media, youtube videos, casual stream/ watch movies online or offline)

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
Preferably 8-10years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
I not too picky about this. I dont mind.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

13. What country do you live in?

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
i-For the laptop thickness, nothing too bulky. I wish to find a slim laptop.

I will preface by saying the last time I touched a gaming console was back when Halo 2 was released, and that was only to kill time at a friend's place while waiting for other friends to arrive and then go out for dinner and drinks.

Streaming a game from the Xbox One to be played on a PC should not require a powerful PC because the XBox One will be handling all of the "heavy workload". The following article from 2015 shows how to stream games to a Surface Pro 3.

Here's a more recent article about streaming games and videos to a laptop, PC or Windows 10 tablet; updated in June 2018.

The following Acer laptop with a dual core i3-8130u CPU amd a 1080p screen for $360 should be fine.

If you want something with a quad core CPU, then the following Dell laptop with a Ryzen 5 2500u and 1080p screen for $465 (a little over your budget) should be fine as well.
