to me Mario just hasn't been my style ever since NES sadly 🙁 Just can't get into it anymore, I'd just rather play the NES Mario's followed by the few on super Nintendo.

The best thing Nintendo ever did was to turn Mario back into a platformer/sidescroller. The Gameplay just never felt right on Mario64 and I couldn't get into it. When they made it for the Wii, Mario had once again found its roots and yet somehow remained modern enough to still be enjoyable. I still play it even now! I don't think this new 3D one will work any better than mario64 did.
