superfish has invaded my computer

i got notified by my antivirus software that superfish had installed without my knowing anything about it. i had trouble opening computer today, it was very slow and then froze, i had to do a manual shut down. i can't find the trusted root certification authorities. the program does not appear anywhere that i can find on my computer so i can't uninstall it. is there some trustworthy anti superfish removal tool i can use?

i have a PC not a laptop but i couldn't find the right forum.

Easiest/safest method is a clean reinstallation of windows.
The other is use Malwarebytes and other similar malware cleaners to find any trace of superfish.
If it is on chrome, you would need to reset your settings else it will resync when you open chrome.
