Surround Sound Setup

trying to setup my surround sound to my pc when i run the test all speakers make there sounds but the music and my games wont work in all speakers

That's most likely, because your music and games are only stereo / 2.0? The source has to be suround sound, otherwise it doesn't work. Try it with a DVD movie for example.

how do i fix that, i bought it off my mate and he had his games and music playing on 5.1,just downloading a dts film now and ill see if that works,has it anything to do with my graphics card settings
