Does the red and red wires connect together and the white and yellow connect together on surround sound system without receiver to tv

For surround sound speakers, you just need to make sure that the same wire is connected to the same port on each side. The copper in the wires are identical. So if you have red and yellow wires (usually red and black), than as long as you connect the same color on each end, it will work fine.
