As many of you may know the SB Z has one jack for front L/R, one jack for rear L/R and another for center/sub....!? I don't understand, am I supposed to use a Y adapter to get two speakers on left and right (L/R) single jacks...questionmark.gif

Any opinion at all would really be a help and thank you for reading.

Your supposed to use a left/right splitter cable. Each jack does ave two outputs and you just need the right splitter to separate them.

you want to have two left speakers and two right speakers? what speakers are you intending to hook up?

if its a matching pair of pc speakers i would just use a normal 3.5mm splitter and connect the pc speakers up. if you are using speakers with independent inputs (rca for example) you will need to use 3.5mm to rca adapters.

you may want to explain what you intend to do a bit more.

Thankyou for reading, I am trying to get surround sound for gaming...but there are only 3 jacks. Front L/R, Rear L/R & Center/Sub.
Do I need an A/V Receiver or something ...?!

It depends whether the SB is outputting amplified signal, if so you don't need receiver, what does the manual say? Otherwise you would need either receiver or self-amplified speakers.

yes, we realize pc has LF/RF, C/SUB and LR/RR. this is enough to get surround from any 5.1 pc speakers

what speakers specifically and how many of them are you trying to hook up? this is what we need to know.
