System backup from SSD to HDD

To backup disk with system transfer from SSD to blank HDD.
One would not use clone, that would scatter files all over the HDD.
Which program and settings to use? (Windows 7)

OK, so I established that cloning by Macrium Reflect does not scatter the files as they were on the SSD.
Defrag analysis shows files packed in like sardines, no fragmentation.
.
Wanted to check boot from clone, but my Samsung laptop grabs the SSD even when BIOS is set to first try USB.
My wife's Dell laptop is worse, locked up completely when asked to boot from USB. (No initialising files found....)
Any ideas?
