System recovery

Hello,
i am using acer aspire 5536 laptop 4 gb the laptop was not starting up properly i did a system recovery cleared everthing fine but o.s was slow to load updates any how shut laptop down next day turned on and just gets to the down load bars and switchs back to the begining tried all buttons f2'f10'f12' any one any ideas thanks

By system recovery, do you mean restored it back to factory conditions or did you do a system restore, which sets it back to a previous date?
