Taking care of a glass screen

Just got my new laptop (https/www3.lenovo.com/ca/en/laptops/ideapad/ideapad-700-series/Lenovo-IdeaPad-720S-14IKB/p/88IP70S0833)

First laptop with an IPS glass screen. So naturally I'm worried about scratching it etc. I've ordered a case for it but hasn't arrived yet and purchased a few microfiber clothes for cleaning the screen.

I'm just wondering what's the best way to take care of the screen, obviously I will be avoiding touching the actual glass screen as much as possible.

Are there any cleaners I should use? (Generally prefer to stay away from spraying chemicals on my electronics).

I've heard a damp microfiber cloth is best as well

The best thing to use for cleaning a glass screen is denatured alcohol. It will remove all smudges, fingerprints and any other "undesirables" which may be deposited on the screen. For the cloth suggest a piece of silk. If the screen is not real dirty 9 times out of ten the silk will clean the screen by itself.

Apply the denatured alcohol to the cloth just enough to get it damp (not wet) and then clean the glass. Make sure not to leave any "wet" spots on the glass. The alcohol will not hurt it but it will leave a residual on the screen and you will just have to clean the glass again.

MAKE SURE YOU USE DENATURED ALCOHOL, NOT RUBBING ALCOHOL! Denatured alcohol is 99% pure alcohol and rubbing alcohol has several additives that will leave residual traces on the glass
