[citation][nom]HalJordan[/nom]I am thinking new kind of temporary tattoo if they could get the "ink" to be visible without the infrared light. Would let people decide if they want a real tattoo later. How many people have got ink that they regret?[/citation]

Henna lasts quite a while.

The problem is that doing a temporary tattoo is as much work for a tattoo artist as doing a permanent one, so they will charge the same amount.

True, I can still see a small market for it. Especially, if you contrast the cost of laser tattoo removal which can run into the thousands. I suppose it would depend on adoption by the artists, and how much specialized equipment would be involved. Just an idea.

[citation][nom]Camikazi[/nom]It don't work that way, just cause we got the intelligence and resources to do this doesn't mean the big guy in the sky wanted us to use it, it's a test! We use it and we are wrong we don't and well some of us die and the rest stay cavemen or something.[/citation]

Then why would God give us intelligence if he didn't want us to utilize it in order to survive? I have nothing against religious people, but you sir are one retarded individual.

The source article does a better job describing the process and its potential. You left out the part about this tech being developed by Microsoft. I'm guessing that if the "tattoo" turns blue you'll need to re administer it?

On the whole God issue, I like to think of it like this: If I created life, I would be ecstatic if my creation figured out how to improve his own life and world using the environment I provided for him. It's like a scientist getting all happy when his lab rat figures out that if it pushes the blue button while standing on the red square, he gets a treat.

Its ok killerclic is just a douche who has no clue about diabetes or he wouldn't post such non sense.

I am glad of this technology my wife who is a type 1 diabetic (which means she had no choice in the matter unlike the millions of 300 + pounders who turn themselves into type 2 diabetics by choice)

...Speaking of idiot douches.

So god wants some of us to have diabetis, but not treat it?

Well, in that context, excuse me if I just don't care what he thinks.

F*** You. Why not add to the conversation instead of just being a douche yourself.

What I said was true, there are millions of people who have type 2 diabetes when they simply do not have to. Whats the cure? To not be mindless gluttons and then go on Jerry Springer or Biggest Loser whining about how hard it is being fat.

People who have juvenile diabetes do not have a choice, over weight people do have a choice.

Show me how what I said is wrong.

Unfortunately you are wrong. It is sad because someone whose wife has type 1 diabetes should/would know beter.

True, more than half the people with type 2 diabetes are over weight, but just being over weight is not going to give you tpe 2 diabetes.

Genetics play a huge part in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. There is also age, race, being female (children with type 2 diabetes have a higher risk factot if they are female), and being pregnant. Being overweight is a big risk factor because it usually proceeded by inactivity, bad diet, so on and so for.

I think I may understand your point, but to say that someone does not "have to have type 2 diabetes" is just plain stupid and ignorant. I truly feel bad for your wife if your understanding of diabetes equates to this....

For someone whose wife has diabetes, it is suprising how wrong and ignorant you sound saying this.

Both type 1 and type 2 diabetes share the same risk factors of genetics and race. Type 2 also has age and lifestyle as factors. Being pregnant is a factor of type 2 diabetes.

By you definition, athletes like Arthur Ashe, Wade Wilson, Walt Frazier, and Joe Gibbs shouldn't have type 2 diabetes right?

Honestly if your level of comprehension of diabetes falls to this, I kind of feel sorry for your wife. Ignorance is not bliss.

This is a great application of an old idea. There are lots of chemically sensitive dyes, but this is the first I've heard of one that's sensitive to glucose. My guess for why they are a temporary tattoos is, most of these dyes fade very quickly in bright light. They'd have to reapply it regularly anyways. They'd also probably have to put the tattoo in a place that would be covered with clothing. They are also limited to what wave length of light they can use. They have to use wavelengths like infrared to avoid wavelength absorb by skin pigments. I hope this pans out it could take a lot of the pain out of diabetics lives.

@ rdawise

Once again let me clarify for your pathetically low level of reading comprehension.

I said there are millions of people who have type two diabetes who do not have to. That is in no way saying that all cases of type two are caused by that but it is a known fact that many overweight people cause themselves to have diabetes by their eating habits.

Feel sorry for my wife all you want but I can guarantee she is by far a better and stronger person than you and she agrees with what I wrote. And she can at least read a sentence so I would say you need to start feeling sorry for yourself.
