Why is there never any mention of Steve Wozniak? IMO, he was the technical brain behind Apple that enabled them to exist in the first place. Jobs is just another businessman that happens to have an unlimited marketing budget and a few popular products.

Exactly, these kids still need to learn that corporate america has only one goal... Your money. (Typically they'll do almost anything to get it too)...
Also, that might have been one of the only names mentioned that they recognize.

[citation][nom]ant1-b0dy[/nom]We need an edit button...@ Darknova_It was MICROSOFT who came to Apple's rescue in 97' with a 150 million dollar push.[/citation]
but it was jobs who was the one that effectivley used the money. before he came back they were all over the place

lol, not me. Don't care much for Bill, Steve (both),etc.

I'm a teenager and I sure as hell wouldn't have voted for him. Maybe Mark Shuttleworth or Barack Obama. Hugh Hefner....FTW!

I must say, for a guy that dropped out of college (I believe it was Reed College in Oregon somewhere), Mr. Jobs is quite impressive.

As for 12-17 year olds saying he is the most admired entrepreneur... well you figure they would pick someone with more impact on everyday life. He sells a product that has less than 10% market share, and the only reason people truly pay attention to Apple commercials is the humor and the iPhones/iPods.

Who do you admire most?

A. Charles Manson
B. Lindsay Lohan
C. Paris Hilton
D. All of the above

not really a quality choice of options

and here comes the senseless baseless Mac bashing. Believe it or not, Steve Jobs did make a profound impact on the computer and PC industry. If it weren't for the PC vs. Mac war that has been raging for 30 years, the computer industry wouldn't be as successful as it is.

If it weren't for Apple, Bill Gates wouldn't even realized that they had to jump on graphical interfaces if they want to reach the masses.

So put aside your Apple hatred and learn some computer history.

Bill Gates and Michael Dell dropped out of college as well. Being a successful entrepreneur is far more profitable than working for a successful entrepreneur.

If it weren't for Microsoft, Apple probably wouldn't exist today (and most certainly not in the same capacity as they do today).

It's hard not to show admiration for some guy who has a company making tons of money off of people by selling them a computer built with low end components made by slave labor with an proprietary Operating System with a massive markup in price.I don't blame him.Back in 2000 I would buy junk Pentium systems from thrift stores for $10 and resell them for $100.The most profitable system I sold was a mid 1990's 486 that I sold in 2001 for $200.
