telly fell down and now there's no picture

hello,
my telly fell onto its back (a distance of about a foot and a half) and now the picture won't work. sound still works, it's only connected to my xbox and I can hear that, but there's no picture.

the screen flashes: white... grey... one screen split horizontally with red, green, blue and white... blue... black. I can't see if I can upload video or anything because this site doesn't work well on my ipad

please can anyone help

Umm - you broke it? Seriously, it sounds like permanent damage to me. Does the telly have other inputs - I would try a signal to another input to see if the whole thing is broken or just one input path. I once had a tv where the HDMI input fried due to a nearby lightning strike but all of the other inputs worked fine.

But my best guess is that you need a new one. Sorry.

Take it to a repairer to look at. He'll need to remove the covers and inspect the insides. If your lucky its only a connection that's come loose. If not it could be the screen is broke or the motherboard has gone faulty - expensive replacements.
