Question Text on certain apps super small

Hi! I have been running into issues with certain apps on my Asus laptop from day 1. I noticed that certain text in certain apps is very small.

When I got the laptop, it was running Windows 10 and now I am running Windows 11 - same issue persists.

I have scaling set to 250% (recommended) and while increasing this number helps, it does make everything else super large. I also tried running apps as Administrator and running the program in Compatibility mode (Windows 7) but that did nothing.

Some of the apps where I experienced these issues are CCleaner, Malwerebytes and Quickbooks (click links below for screenshots). For reference, I tried all these apps on my stationary PC that's running Windows 7 with default settings with no issues.

Please help as I have no idea on what the issue is and it's making some apps very hard to use while the laptop is relatively new.

did you use the display property to change the scale? some app doesn't use that settings. might be better off to change the display resolution

Yes, I use the scale option under display settings. The resolution is currently set to 3840x2160 which is the highest and recommended resolution.

like I said instead of using the scale. lower the resolution

I tried lowering the resolution, but that did not help. Text is still extremely small. This is really annoying as it's making some apps unusable.

what the screen size? what resolution did you change to?

My laptop screen size is 15.6" and I tried different resolutions all the way down to 1920x1080. Nothing made much of a difference as text still stayed small.

1080p on a 15" shouldn't be too small. how far are you siting from the screen?

It's a laptop so I am sitting pretty close to the screen. There must be something weird with either the software or the hardware, because I've been noticing these kinds of issues from day 1 once I got the laptop.

contact quickbooks. they might have patch for fix.
or could play around with your desktop font settings

I don't think it's an issue with Quickbooks as it's happening with other apps too (CCleaner and Malwerebytes). I'll keep messing around with setting hoping to find a fix. If not, I might have a technical look over the laptop.
