The light on the account adapter flashes but there isn't any life in the laptop

My Samsung laptop stopped working one day and noticed it wasn't charging properly/at all. There is no indication of charge to the laptop only the light on the ac adapter slowly flashing. I have since bought a new one and it does the same?

Hi Andrew, I think you may have either a faulty battery or a damaged DC jack. Does the charge port feel loose at all? also how old is this laptop?
