Since HDR and wider color gamut are a more important factor in the picture quality than the additional pixels it makes sense to wait. Cheap 4k TVs look pretty bad with FHD or lower material since the video processing to upscale to 4k is one place low end sets save money. Can't upgrade the video card in the TV unfortunately.
