Solved! The new XPS 15 could work for CAD and engineering stuff??

I was looking for a light but powerful laptop that can handle 3D software without crashing. Would you think that the XPS 15 could work or what would you recommend instead?

Yes it will be fine, XPS models have good specs even though you did not list the exact one you are looking at. For something small there is really nothing better on the PC side. Of course you can get same speed for cheaper and with better cooling in a standard system but up to you if size is as important as cost or performance.

Thank you! glad to hear that. I am actually looking for use Solidworks, Autocad, 3DS max and programming like Matlab and Python
