Solved! the select button does not come backup so there is nothing to perss

I have the magic remote for a LG - 3d tv. all the buttons work except the select button. The middle of the select button (the soft part) does not return to an up position therefore it does not register with the TV.

In case is dirty with a sticky substance, use isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip to clean it.
If the spring is broken then you might need to get a new one...or a universal remote.
