The track changes are not visible

I have just got MS Word 2013, and have used the track changes program. But, once the document has been saved and emailed to a client, the track changes aren't visible. I have saved the document a 'All markup' as suggested on this site, but it doesn't seem to be working. Why is this? I am a proofreader by trade and this is causing me real problems. Any help would be much appreciated.

Goto "Review" tab on the ribbon, and from here select what you want to see.
And before sending this to the client - make sure the file you've sent to him actually contains the tracking.
