Hello,
there has bee a problem detected when i reboot my laptop dell inspiron 1545. there is message shown like that check for viruses on your computer . remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated ru CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption ,and then restart your computer.

Can you start the machine in safe mode? If so, run the command prompt version, then try running chkdsk.

Hi jomon, as suggested by previous poster, try to run it in safe mode by pressing F8 during boot up. If its not possible, boot into OS by using your disc drive(using bootable cd) or thumbdrive and scan your hard disk.
