[citation][nom]zak_mckraken[/nom]That's a brilliant idea! Who'd want to steal a car impregnated with pee?! Yucky.[/citation]

But then I'd have to clean my own pee out of my car. Maybe I should just keep taking the train...

love how this article ended: "He ran from the car, climbed a couple of fences and then fell into someone's pool."

I bet the trolls who flamed my first post would line up for a microchip in their right hand or forehead, without it they could not buy or sell, idiots.

But doesn't everyone pee on the train? lol just kidding :)

I like stories like this, society has enough unsolvable problems but its nice when tech can come up with a cure for at least one of them. Now how long before something like this is mandatory to be installed on all vehicles so the police never have to get into a high speed chase? *puts tinfoil hat on*

Wow holy misquotes batman... I meant to quote "But then I'd have to clean my own pee out of my car. Maybe I should just keep taking the train..."

[citation][nom]kraken18[/nom]Anyone want to take a guess as to the race of the perpetrator?[/citation]
Better question "WHY DOES THAT F*****G MATTER." I don't care what race anyone is... EVERYONE, STOP PULLING THE RACE CARD.

If someone is stupid enough to care then they need to be beaten with a rubber hose.

Jane, you should take it as a complement. I've noticed over the past few months you're one of the few (probably only) writer that's shown any effort to make their next article better based on the comments. With this article you didn't try to inject opinions (Kevin: "Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto, the Walt Disney of electronic gaming,") or show a bias (Marcus

Did the thief pee in the pool? Did OnStar disable his weenie?

I've have reading comprehension problems and slight retardation.

[citation][nom]ssalim[/nom]He didn't mention your name, Jane. It's for this site in general.[/citation]
He didn't mention her name but he specified "the article", which is written by Jane. So...

I bet it was one of those damned dirty left-handed Eskimos. Come on, we're all thinking it. GO HOME NANOOK!

[citation][nom]Razor512[/nom]after you give them your wallet and stuff, when they are walking away, pull out your gun and shoot them in the back them take everything they have on them and drive away[/citation]I hope you're joking, even though that would make it a poor joke without a punchline. [citation][nom]Razor512[/nom]anyway onstar is good for situations like this but this feature can be prevented if the criminal has a cellphone jammer in the car with them[/citation]If you had a cell jammer, yes you could probably prevent them from disabling the gas pedal. But the GPS function is satellite-based. You'd need a higher end jammer capable of jamming both, or a second jammer. They're illegal, though you probably wouldn't care if you were stealing a car. However, someone stealing a vehicle at gunpoint with a sawed-off shotgun probably isn't smart enough to carry such a device.[citation][nom]Razor512[/nom]a better solution would be also have a special rf receiver and a device where the car owner can give police the code to also shut off the car when in range, great backup if the criminal has a cellphone jammer.[/citation]They don't want to shut the car off, as that would greatly reduce their ability to steer or use the brakes, almost guaranteeing an accident. They disable the accelerator (fly by wire). Anyway, what makes you think that any RF device they choose wouldn't be susceptible to jamming? Satellite and cellular links operate at a variety of radio frequencies, what would make your "special RF reciever" immune to a future jammer? Smart criminals will always find a way around it. This is designed to deal with your more common crooks, the kind that won't have a jammer in their pocket.

[citation][nom]JMcEntegart[/nom]Don't know whether I should be insulted or pleased...[/citation]
JMcEntegart, I was complimenting you! For a while there it seemed that Tom's was no longer keen on providing its readers with well written articles (I mean, have you seen some of the spelling and grammatical errors of your colleagues, and not to mention the sheer subjectivity and downright inaccuracies they've been "reporting"?) I doubt any of your readers would hang anyone for making mistakes, but some of the stuff getting posted were just disgraceful. Anyways, the point is, thank you for showing your readers enough respect to give them a well written article. Cheers!!!

*Begin Sarcasm/Smart-A/Mockery*

Why do you automatically assume he's Russian? Just cause of games like GTA?

*End Sarcasm/Smart-A/Mockery*

[citation][nom]dingumf[/nom]THIS IS NOT NEWSTHIS IS NORMAL EVERYDAY FOR ON STAR. WHY DID YOU POST THIS HERE[/citation]

Because it's the first time OnStar has stopped a high-speed chase.
