I am looking for a newer laptop to replace my Dell D630 Lattitude. I want a 1900x1080 screeen and decent performance. I plan to run 64bit O/S and a newer SSD. Any thoughts on these machines even though they are 4+ years old at this point?

Either will work, I like Lenovo myself. Keep in mind these are larger workstation systems with not very good portability or battery life.

Getting a solid state drive for the systems will do a lot for speed.

These are running on ebay right now under $200 for the most part. I figure I need to allow for a replacement battery and maybe some ram. I was hoping to keep it around that mark.

I already have an SSD lined up. I am leaning towards the Lenovo, seems built a little tougher than the Dell. Then again my D630 has been through a lot and is still doing remarkably well.

I've had my W510 from new. The machine is rock solid and with a simple SSD swap and more RAM it handles pretty much anything I throw at it. The only issues I have are that the video card is soldered to the board and lacks a little in the performance department. That, and the SSD will only run at SATA II speeds.
