The screensaver doesn't bother me. What drives me bonkers is the horrible "Magic Remote" and its stupid pointer! I HATE IT SO MUCH! And I find it absolutely inexcusable that LG does not let me disable the pointer. I long for a simple remote like the one that came with my Samsung, or the one that came with my TCL.

Fantastic TVs, but LG should stick to hardware and get out of the software game. Just throw a $50 Chromecast on there for a much better UX experience.
