Thoughts on a Used MacBook Pro 2014?

Want to buy a MacBook Pro for app development, school use, portability and some coding but I dont want to spend more than $850. My main look is on used MacBooks as they run just as good as new ones and I want to get a 13'' 2015 MacBook Pro but they cost to much so i was thinking about getting a 13'' 2014 MacBook Pro which has an i5 2.6ghz, 8gb of ram, and Intel Iris 1536 MB. Would this be a good computer to handle what i want or is there any cheaper options in terms of macs. Thanks.

want a cheaper option? look at an asus or dell laptop where you can get a laptop with the same or better specs with a bigger screen

I already got a windows 10 custom built pc with an i5-4690k and a gtx 1060. Looking more for the experience and the overall cleanness and easy to use rather then the specs.
