Tiny problem with my Panasonic DMR-ES10's time counter while playing discs

Hi all.
My Panasonic DMR-ES10 sometimes shows "play" in the place of the time counter or the time counter is frozen at 0 seconds while the disc is playing the video. Does anyone know the cause of this? Or is it a glitch? There's nothing wrong with my Recorder.

If the recorder is working fine, I think it's only a glitch from the device itself. If I may ask, how long have you been using this recorder?

12 years. It always does that with some discs. It's some type of mode the video on the DVD is set to.
