For these who own Toshiba 30HF84 (or 26HF84) and would like to correct
factory settings of their set here is how to access service menu and a list
of parameters with values from factory setting of my set. However it is
important to understand that each TV set comes with its own unique values
due to small differences in each TV.

To access service menu press and hold Volume Down button on the front panel
till volume gets to "0". Then keep holding Volume Down and press and hold
number "9" button till service menu appears on the screen. Left and right
arrow around "Menu" button switch the parameters and up and down arrow
buttons changes the values of the parameters. BEFORE CHANGING ANY VALUE OF
PARAMETERS WRITE ALL 58 ON THE PAPER. Parameter numbers are from 00 to 59
with parameter 01 being just horizontal line on my TV.

Thanks.

How do you like your 20HF84 ?

I've been a little put off by the negative posts of some customers.
I suspect calibration would have helped a lot of them.

You are right. My set looked terrrrible right out of the box. But after the
calibration and very limited one it is quite different story. So it is not
bad TV set for the money you pay.

this service menu adjustment worked for me!!!! I have a 30HF84 and was experiencing SEVERE overscan issues while in HDMI mode and playing xbox 360 and xbox one. couldnt see about 1.5 inches of the screen all the way around. i used this post to enter the "service menu" as advised and adjusted the settings as i would any normal computer monitor to get the overscan corrected and all the screen back viewable again. i cant believe this worked!! GOOD POST GUYS!! THANK YOU!! ive been using this tv for years now and purchased it second hand off craigslist. Easy Peasy!! **** WRITE ALL YOUR VALUES ON A PIECE OF PAPER FIRST AS ADVISED!! ****
